专利说明:
[0001] The present invention relates to disposable garments and more particularly to disposable garments such as disposable diapers each having a seat cover section adapted to cover the user's buttocks, sanitary training pants, trousers for incontinence or menstrual pads. [0002] State of the Art [0003] Disposable articles of clothing each having a section adapted to cover the wearer's buttocks are already known. For example, PATENT DOCUMENT 1 (JP 2008-178682 A) discloses an article of clothing having front and rear waist regions, a crotch region, elastic waist members respectively forming the front and rear waist regions, and a joined liquid-absorbent chassis. on the inner surface of the elastic waist members where there is additionally a buttock covering section which extends from the back waist region towards the crotch region. [0004] The dressing room article according to the invention disclosed in PATENT DOCUMENT 1 (JP 2008-178682 A) includes a buttock covering section that extends downward from the back waist region to enhance appearance as well as , the user's sense of well-being. The covering section is provided with a plurality of elastic elements which extend in the transverse direction of the wearer's article so that the buttock covering section is prevented from lifting or overturning. [0005] However, in said article of clothing, the inner sheet and the outer sheet cooperate to form a part of the buttock covering section being joined together by adhesive applied to the complete area of the inner surfaces of these inner and outer sheets. As a result, the stiffness of the sheets as a whole becomes relatively high and the joined region along the peripheral edge of the buttock covering section can irritate the wearer's skin when the joined region comes in contact with the wearer's skin. In particular, the lower end section that extends downward from both side edges of the back waist region are angled and these angled regions can irritate the wearer's skin. [0006] List of Quotes [0007] Patent Literature [0008] [PATENT DOCUMENT 1] JP 2008-178682 A [0009] Summary [00010] A disposable garment according to one or more embodiments of the present invention has a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, a side facing the skin, a side facing away from the skin, a front waist region, a rear waist region, a crotch region extending between the front and rear waist regions, and comprising elastic waist pads defining the front and rear waist regions and a liquid-absorbent structure secured in a inner surface of the elastic waist pad to define the crotch region. [00023] Figure 11 is an enlarged-scale diagram similar to Figure 8 illustrating a portion of the buttock covering section in the diaper according to the second embodiment of the present invention. Detailed Description < First Setup > [00024] The diaper 10 has a longitudinal direction Y, a transverse direction X orthogonal to the longitudinal direction Y, a side that lies next to the skin and a side that lies opposite the side of the skin and comprises elastic pads 11 and a liquid-absorbent structure 12 secured to the skin-contacting side of the elastic pad 1 to define a front waist region 13, a rear waist region 14 and a crotch region 15 extending between the front and rear waist regions 13, 14 in the Y longitudinal direction. [00025] The elastic waist pads 11 comprise a front waist pad 16 forming the front waist region 13 and a back waist pad 17 forming the rear waist region 14. [00026] The front waist pad 16 has a generally rectangular shape which is elongated in the transverse X direction and contoured by an inner end 16a extending in the transverse X direction to intersect the liquid-absorbent structure 12, an outer end 16b spaced apart and opposite the inner end 16a in the Y longitudinal direction and extending in the X transverse direction and the side edges 16c, 16d extending between the inner and outer ends 16a, 16b in the Y longitudinal direction spaced apart and opposite each other in the X transverse direction . [00027] Similar to the front waist pad 16, the back waist pad 17 has a generally rectangular shape which is relatively elongated in the transverse X direction and contoured by an inner end 17a which extends in the transverse X direction to intersect the absorbent structure. of liquid 12, an outer end 17b spaced from and opposite the inner end 17a in the longitudinal direction Y and extending in the transverse direction X and the side edges 17c, 17d extending between the inner and outer ends 17a, 17b in the longitudinal direction Y and spaced apart and opposite each other in the transverse X direction. The back waist pad 17 comprises a rear main waist section 18 adapted to lie on the wearer's rear waist and a buttock covering section 19 extending from the rear main section of waist 18 towards the crotch region 15 and adapted to be glued to the user's buttocks. The side edges 16c, 16d of the front waist pad 16 are placed planarly together and joined at the respective portions (side edges of the main rear waist section 18) of the edges 17c, 17d of the back waist pad 17 at the seam stitches intermittently arranged in the longitudinal direction Y, for example, in the zig-zag pattern on which a waist opening 22 and a pair of leg openings 23 are formed (see figure 1). For this bonding treatment various bonding ways such as thermal relief or ultrasonic bonding can be used. [00028] The front waist pad 16 comprises a first inner sheet 25 lying on the skin side, a first outer sheet 26 lying on the opposite side to that which contacts the skin and a plurality of elastic waist elements 27 which are elastic strips or elastic bands sandwiched between the first inner sheet 25 and the first outer sheet 26 being spaced apart by a given distance in the longitudinal distance Y and extending in the transverse direction X. The first front waist pad 16 is elastically contractile in the transverse X direction under the front elastic waist elements 27. [00029] The waist back pad 17 comprises a second inner sheet 28 which lies on the skin-contacting side, a second outer sheet 29 which lies on the opposite skin-contacting side and a plurality of front elastic elements of waist 31 and elastic members of the buttock covering section 32 which are elastic bands or elastic bands sandwiched between the second inner sheet 28 and the second outer sheet 29 to extend in the transverse direction X. [00030] The elastic back waist elements 31 and the elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 which are elastic bands or elastic bands sandwiched between the second inner sheet 28 and the second outer sheet 29 to extend in the transverse direction X. [00031] The elastic rear waist elements 31 are sandwiched between the second inner sheet 28 and the second outer sheet 29 in the main rear waist section 18 and the elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 are sandwiched between the second inner sheet 28 and the second outer sheet 29 in the buttock covering section 19. The buttock covering section 19 has both side portions 19A, 19B defined from the outside of the liquid-absorbent structure 12 in the transverse X direction. [00032] The respective elements are formed of synthetic or natural material in the form of strips or bands having rubber elasticity. For example, in the case of baby diapers, dimensions of the respective regions of the diaper depend on the diaper size being PM or G, and in the case of size G diapers, a total diaper length in the longitudinal direction Y is in a range of 470 up to 510mm, length dimensions of the front waist region 13 and the main rear waist region 18 corresponding with the front waist region 13 in the longitudinal direction Y are in a range of 95 to 125 mm and a cover section length dimension of buttocks 19 in the longitudinal direction Y is in a range of 45 to 65mm. The dimensions of the respective regions will be exemplarily indicated on the assumption that the diaper 10 is of size G and in a stretched state. [00033] Referring to Figure 6, as front elastic waist elements 27, five elastic elements each having a diameter in the range of 450 to 500 dtex and an average elongation in a range of 2.4 to 2.8 and fifteen elements elastics each having a diameter in a range of 450 to 500dtex and an average elongation in a range of 1.8 to 2.4 are located proximate to the outer end 16b of the front waist pad 16. each pair of adjacent elastic elements is spaced apart by a range of 5.0 to 6.0mm. The front elastic waist elements 27 located in the lowermost position are spaced from the inner end (i.e., the inner end 16a of the front waist pad 16) of the first outer sheet 26 by a dimension R1 in a range of 5 to 20mm . [00034] As elastic back waist elements 31, five elastic elements each having a diameter in the range of 450 to 500dtex and an average elongation in a range of 2.4 to 2.8 and sixteen elastic elements each having a diameter in the range from 450 to 500dtex and an average elongation over a range from 1.8 to 2.4 are provided. Each pair of adjacent elastic elements is spaced apart from each other by a range of 5.0 to 6.0mm. [00035] As elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32, three elastic elements having a diameter in a range of 450 to 500dtex and an average elongation of 2.2 to 2.6 and each pair of adjacent elastic elements is spaced one of the the other by a dimension R2, R3 in a range of 15 to 25 mm. Specifically, the distance dimensions R2, R3 between elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 are triple or more compared to the distance dimensions of both the elastic front waist elements 27 and the rear elastic waist elements 31. A dimension of a distance R4 between one of the rear elastic waist elements 31 and the elastic element of the buttock covering section 32 is in a range of 15 to 2500 and a distance dimension R5 between the elastic element of the buttock covering section 32 which is more near the inner end 17a of the back waist pad 17 and the inner end (i.e., the inner end 17a of the back waist pad 17) of the second outer sheet 29 is in a range of 5 to 20mm. [00036] Referring again to figures 2 - 5, the liquid-absorbent structure 12 has a rectangular shape which is relatively more elongated in the longitudinal direction Y and contoured by the front and rear ends extending in the transverse direction X and both the side edges extending in the longitudinal Y direction orthogonally to the rear and front ends. The liquid-absorbent structure 12 extends across the crotch region 15 into the front and back waist regions 13, 14. The liquid-absorbent structure 12 has a front end section 12A lying on the inner surface of the front region of waist 13, a rear waist region 12B lying on the inner surface of the rear waist region 14 and an intermediate section 12C extending between the front and rear sections 12A, 12B to define the crotch region 15. [00037] The liquid-absorbent structure 12 preferably comprises a topsheet 40 which is located on the skin-contacting side, a liquid-absorbent core assembly on the skin-contacting side, a liquid-absorbent core assembly 41 including a liquid-absorbent core formed from a mixture of, for example, fluff pulp fibers and superabsorbent polymer particles wrapped with a liquid dispersing sheet, and a liquid-impermeable cover sheet 41 lying on the non-contacting side the skin to cover the outer surface of the liquid-absorbent core assembly 41. The liquid-absorbent core assembly 41 is internally concave in the vicinity of its midsection in the longitudinal direction Y to reduce its width dimension. Between the liquid-absorbent core assembly 41 and the cover sheet 42, a liquid-impermeable anti-vacuum barrier sheet 43 made of plastic material is sandwiched. [00038] The cover sheet 42 extends externally from the peripheral edge of the liquid-absorbent core assembly 41 to define the ends of flaps 44 extending in the transverse X direction from the outside of the respective ends of the liquid-absorbent core assembly. liquid 41 opposite each other in the longitudinal direction Y and the side flaps 45 extending in the longitudinal direction Y of the eternal side of the respective side edges of the liquid-absorbent core assembly 41 opposite each other in the transverse direction X. The side flaps 45 respectively include of the sets of three elastic straps with elastic leg members 46R, 46L, respectively, which are tension-joined thereto using hot glue (not shown). With said arrangement, the side flaps 45 assist the respective elastic elements of the leg openings 46R, 46L to function as sealing sheaths keeping in close contact with the user's legs. The side portions of the cover sheet 42 respectively defining the side flaps 45 are partially folded inwardly to form a pair of folded regions 48R, 48L extending in the longitudinal direction Y. The respective folded regions 48R, 48L include two of the elastic strips as elastic elements of the sheath 49 secured under tension to the respective inner surfaces of these folded regions 48R, 48L by hot adhesive (not shown). With the diaper 10 worn on the wearer's body, the folded regions 48R, 48L and portions of the respective side flaps 44 are spaced upwardly from the inner sheet 40 under contraction of the elastic hem members 49 to form a pair of functioning anti-decay hems. to prevent bodily debris from leaking out of the diaper 10. [00039] As a suitable material for the elastic leg opening elements 46R, 46L, as well as for the elastic sheath elements 49, materials in the form of wire or strips each having rubber elasticity and a diameter in a range of about 350 to 1240 dtex and a stretch in a range of 2.0 to 3.0 can be used. Adjacent elastic elements are spaced from each other preferably by a distance in the range of 3.0 to 6.0mm. The number of elastic leg opening elements 46R, 46L as well as the number of elastic sheath elements 49 can be one, two or more, as long as the pulling force is guaranteed. Other parameters such as. A diameter, a distance between each pair of adjacent elastic elements and an elasticity ratio can be appropriately adjusted depending on the number of these elastic elements. [00040] Particularly referring to Figure 3 the front section 12A of the liquid-absorbent structure 12 is fixed to the inner surface of the front waist pad 16 by a first adhesive 50 applied in a striped fashion and this inner surface is covered with a first anchor sheet 51 extending in the transverse X direction of the front waist pad 16. The first anchor sheet 51 has its outer surface attached to the front waist pad 16 and the front end sections 12A of the liquid-absorbent structure 12 by a hot glue 52a applied in the pattern of a spiral extending in the transverse X direction. [00041] The rear end section 12B of the liquid-absorbent structure 12 is secured to the inner surface of the waist back pad 17 by the first adhesive 50 applied in the stripe pattern and this inner surface is covered with a first securing sheet 51 which extends in the transverse X direction of the front pad 16. The first attachment sheet 51 has its outer surface attached to the front waist pad 16 and the front end section 12A of the liquid-absorbent structure 12 by heat melt adhesive 52a applied to the template. spiral that extends in the transverse X direction. [00042] The rear end section 12B of the liquid-absorbent structure 12 is secured to the inner surface of the waist back pad 17 by the first adhesive 50 applied in the stripe pattern and this inner surface is covered with a second securing sheet 53 which extends in the transverse X direction of the main rear waist section 18. The second anchor sheet 53 has its outer surface secured to the rear waist pad 17 and the rear end section 12B of the liquid-absorbent structure12 by an applied heat-melted adhesive 52b in the pattern of a spiral extending in the transverse X direction. The covering pattern of the first adhesive 50 is not limited to the form of stripes, but may include, various other forms well known by the prior art, such as, in the form of stripes or dots shape. [00043] The front waist pad 16 is free from being coated with the first adhesive 50 along the inner edge 16a, in consequence, the region along the inner edge 16a has a somewhat free edge when the diaper 10 is viewed from front (see figure 1). As will be apparent from Figure 3, a lowermost portion of the elastic waist feature 27 lies along a boundary between the region coated with the first adhesive 50 and the region uncoated with the first adhesive 50. Consequently, flexible texture of the region not coated with the first adhesive 50 can be maintained. [00044] According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, a sheet material is folded into two layers respectively serves as the first inner sheet 25 and the first outer sheet 26 in the waist front pad 16 and the folded line serves as the edge of the waist opening 22. The first inner sheet 25 and the first outer sheet are joined together by a second adhesive 55 applied to the inner surface of at least one inner sheet 25 and the first outer sheet 26 as shown in Figure 7 (b ). According to another embodiment, the first inner sheet 25 and the first outer sheet 26 can be provided as two separate sheets. [00045] According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, a sheet material is folded in two layers respectively serves as the second inner sheet 28 and the second outer sheet 29 in the back waist pad 17 and the folded line serves the edge of the waist opening 22. The second inner sheet 25 and the second outer sheet are joined together by a third adhesive 56 applied to the inner surface of at least one second inner sheet 28 and the second outer sheet 29 as shown in Figure 7 ( a) Both the pads 16 and the main rear waist section 18 are coated over entire areas thereof with the second adhesive 55 and the third adhesive 56, respectively, and thus these sheets would not be peeled off in the course of manufacturing the diaper 10 and/or during use of the diaper 10. According to other embodiments, the second inner sheet 28 and the second outer sheet 29 may also be provided as two separate sheets. [00046] As shown in figure 7 (a) the third adhesive 56 is not applied to the inner surface of the second outer sheet 29 defining the buttock covering section 19, and in this region, the sheets 28, 29 are joined together only by fourth adhesive 57 applied to the peripheral surface of the respective elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 as will be understood from figure 9. [00047] As previously described, the sheets 28, 29 are joined together only by the fourth adhesive 57 applied on the peripheral surfaces of the respective elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 in the buttock covering section 19 and the distance of dimensions R2, r# between the elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 are triples or more, compared to the distance dimensions of both the elastic front waist elements 27 and the rear elastic waist elements 31. As a consequence, the area united in the buttock covering section 19 is smaller than that of the front waist pad 16 and the main rear waist section 18 and the stiffness of the buttock covering section 19 is correspondingly lower. [00048] Referring to figure 8, the side section 19A of the buttock covering section 19 has a side edge 59 which is not straight but wavy. Specifically, with the exception of the region in which the elastic elements of the buttock covering section are located, the second inner sheet 28 and the second outer sheet 29 are not joined together. With said arrangement, the regions of the sheet member in the vicinity of the ends of the respective elastic elements of the buttock covering section elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 are pulled upwards under contraction of these elastic elements 32 while the regions of the buttock covering section sheet defined between each pair of adjacent elastic elements 32 respectively describe curves which are externally convex. On the side portion 19A of the buttock covering section 19, a lower end 60 is not attached to the liquid-absorbent structure 12 and therefore has a ruffle-like shape defined by a wavy line. The side edge 59 as well as the lower end 60 of the side portion 19A in the buttock covering section 19 describing said wavy curve advantageously prevents the wearer's skin from becoming irritated when it comes into contact with these regions. In addition, none of the elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 are disposed along the lower end 60 of the buttock covering section 19 and thus the fourth adhesive 57 buttock covering section 19 would not run from the lower end 60 of the section. of buttocks covering 19 and would affix to the wearer's skin even if the fourth adhesive 57 oozed from the peripheral surfaces of the respective elastic elements 32. It would be appropriate here that, while Figure 8 is an enlarged-scale diagram illustrating a portion of the side portion 19A, side portion 19B is constructed in the same manner as side portion 19A. [00049] A quantity application of the second adhesive 55 as well as the third adhesive 56 is in the range of 2.0 to 7.0 g/m2. An application of the fourth adhesive in the amount of 57 per 1m of the elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 is in the range of 0.03 to 0.07 g/m. [00050] The front waist pad 16 and the main rear waist section 18 of the back waist pad 17 are respectively formed of inner and outer sheets 25, 26; 28, 29 joined together by second adhesive 55 and third adhesive 56 applied to respective internal surfaces in accordance with the present embodiment. However, it is also possible to join the inner and outer sheets 25, 26; 28, 29 to each other by the second adhesive 55 applied to the peripheral surfaces of the respective elastic elements of the buttock covering section 27 as in the case of the buttock covering section 19 or by the third adhesive 56 applied to the peripheral surfaces of the respective elastic back waist elements 31. [00051] While the various already known types of adhesives conventionally used in the relevant technical field can be selectively used as first to fourth adhesives 50, 55, 56, 57, rubber based adhesive such as SBS or SIS can preferably be used . In addition while the first to fourth adhesives 50, 55, 56 are applied in the form of dots according to the first or more configurations, it is possible to apply these adhesives in various other well-known ways, such as, in wave form, in spiral or reticular. <Second Configuration> [00052] According to the second embodiment, it will be apparent from figures 10 and 11, in a middle region of the buttock covering section 19 in front of the rear end section 12B of the liquid-absorbent structure 12, the covering section of buttocks 19 is not coated with the first adhesive 50 along its lower end 61 (correspondingly the inner end 17a of the back waist pad 17), i.e. it is not joined to the liquid-absorbent structure 12. The lower end 61 of the buttock covering section 19 is left free from the liquid-absorbent structure 12 and thus has a flexible somewhat skirt-like appearance, in addition, the fourth adhesive 57 would not flow past the lower edge 61 and would not uncomfortably irritate the wearer's skin. since none of the elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 is disposed along this lower end 61. The lower end 60 of the side portion 19A,b how, the lower end 61 of the middle region in the buttock covering section 19 continuously extending in the transverse X direction for said present skirt appearance is preferable from the point of view of article appearance. [00053] As the respective component members of the diaper 10, in addition to the specific materials described in this specification, various members and various types of well-known materials commonly used in the relevant state of the art can be selectively used. While the front and back pads 16, 17 are elastically disposed by a plurality of elastic elements thereon, the front and back pads 16, 17 can be formed from sheet materials having self-elasticity. It is also possible to replace elastic straps and bands used as elastic elements by yarns and tapes used as elastic elements by elastic bands or by elastic sheets for the purpose of front and back padding of waist 16, 17. Instead of forming the cover section of buttocks 19 to extend continuously from the main waist section 18, it is possible to form the buttock covering section 19 separately from the main waist section 18 or from sheet material other than the sheet material forming the main waist section 18. When the buttock covering section 19 is formed of sheet material different from the sheet material of the main waist section 18, the buttock covering section 19 is preferably formed of sheet material having similar flexibility to or higher than the that the flexibility of the sheet material that forms the main waist section 18. [00054] The aspects of the present invention that have been described above can be arranged in at least the following items: (i) a disposable garment (10) having a longitudinal direction (Y) a transverse direction (X) ortiginal to the longitudinal direction , a side that does not contact the skin, a side that does not contact the skin, a front waist region (13) a rear waist region (14) a crotch region (15) that extends between the front and rear waist regions, and comprising elastic waist pads (11) defining the front and rear waist regions and the liquid absorbent structure 12 secured to an inner surface of the elastic waist pads to define the crotch region, wherein: the rear waist region comprises a sheet inner (28) lying on the skin-contacting side, an outer waist region (29) lying on the non-skin-contacting side, a main waist section 18 and a buttock covering section 19 lying below the back main waist section; the buttock covering section includes a plurality of elastic elements of the buttock covering section 32 disposed thereon to extend in the transverse direction at constant intervals in the longitudinal direction; and in the buttock covering section, the inner sheet and the outer sheet are joined together by adhesive 57 applied to the peripheral surfaces of the respective elastic elements of the buttock covering section. [00055] The aspect of the present invention describes in the above item (i) that it can provide one or more advantageous effects as follows: (a) According to the present invention, the second inner sheet and the second outer sheet in the covering section of buttocks are joined together by adhesive applied to the peripheral surfaces of the respective elastic elements of the buttock covering section. With this single arrangement, the desired tensile strength is guaranteed but the rigidity of the buttock covering section as a whole is restricted to a relatively low level and thus there is no concern that the buttock covering section may uncomfortably irritate the skin of the user even if this section comes in contact with the user's skin. Additionally, one or more of the following configurations are provided in accordance with the following aspects: (ii) The main back waist section includes a back waist elastic. (iii) The back waist elastic includes a plurality of back elastic waist elements (31) arranged thereon to extend in the transverse direction at constant intervals in the longitudinal direction and a distance between each other elastic element of the buttock covering section is greater than a distance between one and another elastic back waist element. (iv) The back elastic waistband is formed by an elastic sheet. (v) the front waist region comprises an inner sheet lying on the skin contacting side, an outer sheet lying on the non-skin contacting side and a front waist elastic. (vi) The front waist elastic includes a plurality of front waist elastic elements (27) disposed thereon to extend in the transverse direction at constant intervals in the longitudinal direction. (vii) The front waist elastic is formed from elastic sheet. (viii) The inner sheet (28) and outer sheet (29) of the back waist region are formed of a continuous sheet. (ix) The inner sheet and outer sheet of the back waist region are respectively formed from individual sheets. (x) At least one of the inner and outer sheets of the rear waist region, a sheet on which the main rear waist section is formed and a sheet on which the buttock covering section is formed, are individual where the sheet of which the buttock covering section is formed is more flexible than the sheet from which the main rear waist section is formed. (xi) In the main rear waist section, the inner sheet and outer sheet are joined together by adhesive applied to at least one of the surfaces facing each other. (xii) In the main back waist section, the inner sheet and outer sheet are joined together by adhesive applied to the peripheral surfaces of the respective back waist elastic. (xiii) the elastic waist pads comprise a front waist pad 16 defining the front waist region and a back waist pad 17 defining the back waist region; the liquid-absorbent structure is secured to respective inner surfaces of the front waist pad and the back waist pad by adhesive 50 applied to a surface of the liquid-absorbent structure opposite the inner surfaces; and the inner ends (17a) of the front and back waist pads, in at least one region of the liquid-absorbent structure facing the inner end of the back waist pad is free from being coated with adhesive.
